What dryers will you find?

Places can have a variety of different hand dryers for a variety of reasons. From contracts to budgets. From hand burners to hands in. This page goes over the hand dryer you'll most likely find when visiting a place.

Sainsbury's

Almost always airforce, but some stores have Mitsubishi, Dyson, and A48

Tesco

Tesco use a variety of dryers.

The most common are

Dolphin Velocity eco/mini

Airdri Quarto/Quest

Excel Dryer XLERATOR

Wallgate Thrii

Some locations have Hokwang HK-JAs, PHS A48s, and even Stiebel Eltron HTE-4. XLERATORs are more frequent in older stores.

Higher crime locations will often have Wallgate Thriis to prevent vandalism.

Morrisons

Like Sainsbury's they usually use airforce, but some locations have airstream vitesse. Older stores rarely have PHS A48

Asda

Usually Biodrier Biolites, but older stores have a chance of having an Excel Dryer XLERATOR or a PHS A48. A few locations have biodrier ECOs or ATC tiger ecos.

Lidl

What do mean Splash Lab? But a few locations have Biodrier Biolites.

Aldi

Usually Dyson airblade V HU02. But a few locations have Biodrier Biolites.

Waitrose

It's a near 50/50 split between Dyson Airblade (any kind) and PHS airforce. But some older stores have A48s.

M&S

Almost always Mitsubishi jet towel slims, but older stores have a variety of different dryers (Xlerator, Anda Brander, Anda 5000, PHS A48, Bluedry Ecodry, Bluedry Junior, Warner Howard LE48 just to name a few)

Co Op Group

Almost never do Co Op group stores have toilets, the very few stores that do have Paper towels

Other supermarket brands

Usually airforce, but it is also common to see hydor branded Xindas as well as StreamHygiene Windsors. Some newer and refurbished locations have PHS EL1100s.

Café Nero

Usually AIKEs under dryflow or HandyDryers. Some older stores may have something else but they are rapidly being replaced.

Costa

Quite a variety. Usually Airfury, but some stores may have Airforce or Ultradry. Costa have began installing "actus" branded Kuaiertes

Starbuck's

Pre 2023: A wide range of shit, but usually Kuaiertes and pro-elecs branded as Xinda.

In 2022, Starbuck's trialled PHS airstream hand dryers, and in 2023, they rapidly rolled them out across the major cities and surrounding areas (nicknamed the "airstream virus" in the community). More remote stores will still have the "wide range of shit", and A road starbuck's will have Velair Pebbles.

In 2011 starbucks trialled XLERATOR, if you're extremely lucky, you'll find one.

Pret

Similar to Starbuck's before 2023.

ASK Italian

Almost always PHS A48, but some stores may have something else.
